Large Roundabouts UK
Use the MSPSL (Mirrors Signal Position Speed Look) routine on approach to large roundabouts as you would any other junction.
Large roundabouts with more than three lanes will usually have road signs and markings to help you decide which is the most appropriate lane to use on approach to the roundabout. You should choose the most appropriate lane for your destination. If there is more than one lane for your destination use the furthest left lane of those you can choose. Move into the correct lane in good time and stay in that lane whilst on the large roundabout.
As you pass each exit, the markings on Large Roundabouts will bring you closer to the left, which will help you exit larger roundabouts safely. Sometimes the lane you are in will split into two. Take up the left of the two lanes unless you need to be in the right for some other reason.
Examples could be that you are turning right in the new road you will be exiting in, or you are overtaking a slower moving vehicle that is in the left lane.
